This Recipe was made on the theme “Creativity unlimited with Roquette’s ingredient” for the second round of the recipe contest organized jointly by PFNDAI and Roquette in January 2022.
Ingredients-
- Corn meal
- Gram flour
- Jowar flour
- Bajra flour
- Mashed peas
- Fenugreek leaves
- Coriander leaves
- Crushed ginger-green chili
- Carom seeds
- Salt
- Red chili powder
- Garam masala
- Turmeric powder
- Cumin powder
- Asafoetida
- Curd
- Ghee
- Glucidex 12
For Tadka-
- oil
- cumin seeds
- mustard seeds
- asafoetida
- sesame seeds
- curry leaves
- red chili powder
Method-
- Add all the flours in a mixing bowl
- Consecutively, add mashed peas, chopped fenugreek and coriander leaves along with crushed ginger and green chili
- Add curd along with all the spices
- Make a firm dough with glucidex 12
- Keep it for 10 minutes
- Make equal sized vaddas out of it and steam them for about 15 -20 minutes
For Tadka-
- Heat oil in a pan ,add spices
- Stir for 1 minutes
- Add steamed vaddas to it
