Multigrain vadda (Savory)

This Recipe was made on the theme “Creativity unlimited with Roquette’s ingredient” for the second round of the recipe contest organized jointly by PFNDAI and Roquette in January 2022.


  • Corn meal
  • Gram flour
  • Jowar flour
  • Bajra flour
  • Mashed peas
  • Fenugreek leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • Crushed ginger-green chili
  • Carom seeds
  • Salt
  • Red chili powder
  • Garam masala
  • Turmeric powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Asafoetida
  • Curd
  • Ghee
  • Glucidex 12

For Tadka-

  • oil
  • cumin seeds
  • mustard seeds
  • asafoetida
  • sesame seeds
  • curry leaves
  • red chili powder


  • Add all the flours in a mixing bowl
  • Consecutively, add mashed peas, chopped fenugreek and coriander leaves along with crushed ginger and green chili
  • Add curd along with all the spices
  • Make a firm dough with glucidex 12
  • Keep it for 10 minutes
  • Make equal sized vaddas out of it and steam them for about 15 -20 minutes

For Tadka-

  • Heat oil in a pan ,add spices
  • Stir for 1 minutes
  • Add steamed vaddas to it
