Description:
A soya chunks based healthy and innovative recipe prepared by using steam which requires less amount of oil for cooking.

Method of Preparation:
I. For the Soya Cake:
-
Grind overnight soaked rice and dal to make a mixture.

Soak the soya chunks in hot water for 30 mins and grind it draining the excess water.

Take the rice & dal mixture and ground soya chunks in a bowl. Add curd, turmeric powder, chili powder & salt (as required), water and ginger garlic paste and mix all the ingredients well to form a batter.

Grease the moulds with oil and add batter to it

Boil some water in a steamer and place the filled moulds in it and steam it for 8-10 mins.

Remove the cakes from the moulds and serve in a plate.
II. For Seasoning:

Put some oil in a pan, and add some mustard seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves to it.

Allow the mixture to temper and put it over the Soya cakes and garnish with coriander.

Serve the soya cake with some coriander chutney.
